Matt Hardy has shared his thoughts on the growing speculation about several former Wyatt Sicks members possibly joining TNA.
WWE released the Wyatt Sicks earlier this year. Since leaving WWE, the former members have started looking for new opportunities. Recent reports have suggested that Joseph Sawyer, better known as Joe Gacy, and Sam Shaw, formerly Dexter Lumis, could be heading to TNA.
Matt Hardy shares what he wants to see from former Wyatt Sicks members in TNA
Hardy discussed the rumors on his The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast. However, he made it clear that he does not have any inside information about their status with TNA.
“I think they’re all very talented individuals. On top of playing these over-the-top characters, I also think they are all very talented when it comes to being performers in the ring. I certainly would think there would be a home for them. And, you know, once again, that’s kind of above my pay grade. You know, I don’t know what the exact status is,” Hardy said.
Instead of completely dropping the characters that made them famous, Hardy suggested mixing their wrestling personas with more of their real identities. Their connection with Bray Wyatt could make it hard for the wrestlers to completely leave those personas behind while starting the next chapter of their careers outside WWE.
“I would almost feel like some sort of hybrid, like the real person with a little bit of the Wyatt Sicks character kind of rolled into one. Maybe not as intense as the whole Wyatt Sicks thing was, as far as, like, going super deep, you know, in the deep end of supernatural conduct. But I would like to see a little bit of a mixture of them because I think anybody who sees them, and whenever they watch them on an indie show or whatever else, they are going to think about that Wyatt Sicks. They will forever be known for that,” Hardy said.
Recent episodes of TNA iMPACT have featured mysterious attacks on several people, including Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy. Matt became the latest victim during the September 17 episode when he was found laid out backstage. The footage also showed two sets of legs walking behind the scene before disappearing.
TNA has not revealed who is behind the attacks. That has led to speculation about whether the mystery attackers could eventually be connected to the former Wyatt Sicks members.
