Essex Cricket is pleased to announce a partnership with City of Dreams and Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts for the 2026 season.

The agreement will see City of Dreams and Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts become the official white-ball trouser sponsor of both the Essex Men’s and Women’s teams for the Vitality Blast and Metro Bank One Day Cup campaigns.

On the agreement, Sheikh Hassan, Partnerships Manager at Essex Cricket, said: “This is an exciting partnership for the Club, and we are pleased to welcome Cinnamon Hotels and City of Dreams as our trouser sponsor for white-ball fixtures.

“As well as this, they are a key partner for the England Lions v Sri Lanka match that is being hosted at the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground on September 11, 2026, which we are delighted with. The fixture offers a strong platform to bring the partnership to life, and we are looking forward to delivering impactful activations that drive value for both the brand and our members and supporters.”

City of Dreams Sri Lanka is South Asia’s first fully integrated resort and a defining landmark in Colombo’s skyline. Designed as a true urban resort, it brings together world-class hospitality, dining, entertainment, retail, and lifestyle experiences in one dynamic destination, capturing the energy of the city while offering something exceptional for both locals and international travellers.

Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts is Sri Lanka’s leading hospitality brand, and is recognised for its design led properties, destination driven experiences, and warm Sri Lankan hospitality. Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts features four city properties in Colombo, nine resort properties across Sri Lanka, and four resorts in the Maldives, with several new projects in development.

Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts offers experiences such as Sri Lankan nature trails, private charter flights to explore the island’s hidden gems and breathtaking landscapes from the air, and the Victoria Golf Resort in Digana, which was ranked Sri Lanka’s best golf course in 2023 and among the Top 100 Most Beautiful Golf Courses in the World.

Kamal Munasinghe, Senior Vice President, Colombo Hotels, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts and General Manager, Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams added: “This is a partnership of champions, where the legacy of Essex Cricket meets the energy of City of Dreams.

“Together we are creating moments that are bold, electric, and impossible to forget. Great partnerships are built like great innings; fearless, strategic, and full of impact and we are taking the game to the new heights at City of Dreams.”
