This week’s SmackDown was a taped episode as WWE is in Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel. Crown Jewel takes place tomorrow, Nov. 7, at Noon ET.
Chelsea Green took to the ring per Nick Aldis’ request on Friday. Aldis was boosting Green up ahead of her match against Liv Morgan this Saturday. Green stated that she wakes up every morning and after looking at the title, she thinks if she really deserves to be champion. Does she stand up with those who were champions before her? Charlotte Flair? Becky Lynch? Bianca Belair?
Before Liv Morgan made her way out, Green says she has to defeat Morgan this weekend to prove she deserves to be champion. Morgan continued to drag her down saying that she only won the title by luck as Rhea Ripley had to vacate it.
Elsewhere on SmackDown, a WWE Women’s Tag Team Title match took place. Michin and B-Fab were defending against former champions, Fatal Influence. The match ended in less than four minutes due to a no contest. After taking out Jacy Jayne and Jade Cargill on the outside, Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley jump in the ring and attack B-Fab and Fallon Henley. As the bell rings for the no contest result, Cargill enters to take down those in the ring including Bayley who joined the fight for the babyfaces. This allowed the return of Charlotte Flair. Flair had been out for a few weeks.
After a brawl, the faces stood tall in the ring as the heels retreated to the ramp. This seemingly led to a WarGames team as the two sides exchanged words.
Later on backstage, Bayley, Bliss, Paxley, and Flair hint at going to “war” against Cargill, B-Fab, Michin, and Fatal Influence.
