“I should be top 10. I should be top 10 for sure. If you look at my last five, six fights, and you look at any of these other guys that’s top 10, you can see my resume, it’s just crazy,” said Foster to Boxingscene. “From the different caliber fighters, I went from Rey Vargas, which was a six-foot guy, undefeated, two-division champion. I beat him.
“Then I went to Rocky [Eduardo Hernandez], small, power puncher, straight forward. I knocked him out. [Abraham] Nova, [Robson] Conceicao, I was robbed the first fight [won the rematch]. Then Stephen Fulton and then Ray Ford. That resume is just kind of crazy to me. And none of them guys fight the same. They all got different styles, different attributes. So, I definitely feel like I’m top 10.”
O’Shaquie’s recent run has included victories over former two-division champion Rey Vargas, Eduardo Hernandez, Abraham Nova, Robson Conceicao, Stephen Fulton, and Raymond Ford. Ford entered their May 30 bout in Houston with an 18-1-1 record, his only previous defeat having come by split decision against Nick Ball in a featherweight title fight in June 2024.
The 32-year-old has repeatedly pointed to the different challenges each opponent presented as evidence that his accomplishments deserve greater recognition within the sport.
“Least you can do is eight, nine or 10. You know what I mean? It gotta be somewhere in there because ain’t nobody doing what I’m doing. And I hope they paying attention to it and it ain’t just a popularity contest,” said Foster.
O’Shaquie has repeatedly argued that the diversity of opposition he has faced separates his accomplishments from many of the names currently featured on pound-for-pound lists.
