A 15-member Afghanistan squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against India was announced by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) on Monday.
This will mark Ibrahim Zadran’s first assignment as the side’s full-time T20I captain.
Moreover, this series will also see the return of pacer Naveen-ul-Haq, who had earlier missed the T20 World Cup and the T20I series against West Indies due to injury.
“It is also worth mentioning that the Afghanistan team will travel to India soon for training and final preparations before the event officially kicks off in AJCS, New Delhi,” the ACB said in a release.
The series kicks off on September 13 with all three matches taking place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The other two matches will take place on September 15 and 17.

Ibrahim Zadran (c), Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), Noor Rahman (wk), Sediqullah Atal, Darwish Rasooli, Azmatullah Omarzai, Gulbadin Naib, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Nangyal Kharoti, Noor Ahmad, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Fazal Haq Farooqi, Abdullah Ahmadzai and Naveen-ul-Haq.
