Madurai Panthers and VIDA Kovai Kings will meet in the TNPL 2026 final at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday, with the match beginning at 7.30 p.m. Madurai will contest its first final since winning the title in 2018, while Kovai will make its fourth final appearance in five editions. The Kings shared the title with Chepauk Super Gillies in 2022 and won it outright in 2023.
Madurai topped the league-stage table with five wins from seven matches and advanced after its Qualifier 1 against Trichy Grand Cholas was abandoned due to rain. Kovai enters the final on a four-match winning run, having defeated Trichy by 84 runs in Qualifier 2, where K Deeban Lingesh claimed the first golden hat-trick in TNPL history. Madurai won the teams’ league-stage meeting by chasing down Kovai’s 239 for four with three balls remaining in a record-breaking contest.
