Tottenham Hotspur are a 13/2 shot to be relegated this season, while Roberto De Zerbi is also the 2/1 favourite to be the first Premier League manager to be sacked, according to William Hill.

The North London side were 40/1 for the drop before the campaign started but have plummeted to 13/2 after picking up just two points from their opening five games. To put that into context, it took The Lilywhites until February to reach those relegation odds last season.

Coventry (4/9), Hull (8/13) and Ipswich (EVS) lead the relegation market.

    • Coventry – 4/9
    • Hull – 8/13
    • Ipswich – EVS
    • Crystal Palace – 9/4
    • Fulham – 5/2
    • Sunderland – 10/3
    • Tottenham – 13/2
    • Nottingham Forest – 7/1

In the next manager to leave their role betting, Roberto De Zerbi is now the outright favourite to be the first coach to lose his job this season, trading at 2/1 having been 4/1 before the weekend.

    • Roberto De Zerbi – 2/1
    • Michael Carrick – 11/4
    • Pierre Sage – 7/2
    • Alvaro Arbeloa – 9/1
    • Frank Lampard – 8/1

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Tottenham were hoping to turn a new page this season, but after a dismal first five games they’ve been drawn back into relegation shouts.

“That’s now reflected in our relegation market, where we make them 13/2 to start next season in the Championship. For context, they didn’t go that low last season until February.

“Roberto De Zerbi’s honeymoon as Spurs boss is certainly over and the Italian is now our favourite (2/1) to be the first manager to lose his job this season.”
