It’s a live three-hour special featuring both AEW Dynamite and Collision tonight. And the timing couldn’t be more perfect as we head to All Out in three days!
Before the action tonight, Thekla explains that there are two kinds of “dumb bitches.” And the “bitch” she has to face is the “kind” one. On Saturday at All Out, she faces Willow Nightingale to determine the No. 1 contender for the AEW Women’s World Championship. And of course, things will get toxic.
Meanwhile, Renee Paquette speaks with Nightingale, who has no regrets about losing her title at All In. And she’s ready to come after the world champion, Mercedes Moné, now that they’re even in their bouts. She says there is a new version of Nightingale, and she’ll see Thekla this Saturday.
The TBS Championship is on the line tonight as the CMLL World Women’s Champion, Persephone, defends her TBS title against Hyan. Maya World has been put out of action due to injury, but her partner, Hyan, looks to take her place and take on Persephone’s open challenge. “The Doctor” Britt Baker, D.M.D., is here to be on Persephone’s side and on commentary.
The two showcase their strength to start the match, and Persephone is surprised at the fight Hyan is giving. Hyan sends Persephone out of the ring, and goes flying as she connects with the tope suicida.
Persephone manages to power through Hyan and hits a Lionsault, only to get a two-count. She looks to put Hyan away, but Hyan gets out and hits a spear. Hyan has Persephone right where she wants her, but Persephone gets out of dodge and uses the leverage of the ropes to pick up the win.
Renee Paquette also interviews the Divine Dominion before heading to All Out for their championship street fight against the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions, The Brawling Birds. Divine Dominion decides to invite out The Brawling Birds to a tea party, as one last classy moment before they brawl in Chicago.
The former champions say that the current champions don’t deserve those titles, but The Brawling Birds answer back by smashing the teapots into their skulls. Unfortunately for The Brawling Birds, the pure strength of the Divine Dominion leaves them in the dust.
After losing her opportunity at the TBS title earlier, Hyan is backstage with Paquette. She is tired of both Persephone and Baker, and despite losing her partner momentarily, she found some new help in Thunder Rosa.
Baker and Persephone respond, and they can’t wait to get their hands on them in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. However, Persephone wants to open another challenge for her title at All Out this Saturday. Both are ever so confident in their plans for the coming week.
Queen Aminata is in action against Skye Blue tonight, but sitting out at commentary is the world champ Big D Moné herself. Both competitors have their respective tag team partners, Mina Shirakawa and Skye Blue, at their side.
Aminata has the advantage during the beginning of the match and delivers some chocolate kisses to Blue. Hart bails Blue out of trouble, allowing Blue to ram Aminata into the steel steps. Blue has bad intentions and hits a suplex off the steps onto the floor.
Blue has Aminata in a rest hold, but Aminata powers through to take it to Blue in the corner. Aminata looks to finish it off on the top rope, but Hart decides to get involved. Both try to find the pinfall as the action gets more furious, but Blue smacks the taste out of Aminata’s mouth. It was a bad decision as Aminata takes Blue’s head off and picks up the win.
Post-match, it turns into chaos as Thekla arrives and the Triangle of Madness tries to take out Aminata and Shirakawa. Nightingale comes out to make the save to get even. But Moné stands tall as the top dog of this division.
