Austin Theory has heard all the people saying The Vision needs to end, and he’s already looking forward to proving them wrong. As far as Theory is concerned, the same fans hating on the group now could eventually be the ones buying its merchandise.
While speaking to NotSam Wrestling, Austin Theory directly addressed the criticism surrounding The Vision and the calls for WWE to pull the plug on the group.
“I love that everybody says, ‘Oh, this group should stop. This group should end.’ I can’t wait for the moment that we’re standing on top of the world and everybody knows the story.”
Theory believes there could eventually be a pretty dramatic change in how fans view the group. He even joked that the people currently complaining about The Vision will eventually find themselves wanting merchandise for everyone involved.
“You know, you hate, hate, hate, and then you start appreciating it. Then you’re like, ‘Whoa, I gotta get a Logan Paul shirt, a Vision shirt, an Austin Theory shirt, gotta get a Bron Breakker shirt.’”
And Theory doesn’t seem particularly bothered by having people against them right now. In his mind, plenty of things start out getting trashed before eventually becoming something people suddenly want to be part of.
“It’s so funny in life how people know the story of how things go, where you’re like, ‘Oh, I hate on this,’ and then it explodes and becomes its own thing. But that’s how it goes.”
So anyone hoping Theory might agree that it’s time to break The Vision up probably shouldn’t hold their breath. He’s looking at the criticism as part of the process and seems pretty damn confident the group hasn’t even reached the point where people will understand what WWE is building with them.
Do you think Austin Theory is right that fans will eventually come around on The Vision, or should WWE take the group in a different direction? Let us know what you think in the comments.
