An appetising East Midlands derby between clubs who were two divisions apart last season. Notts convincingly beat Salford City 3-0 in the 2025/26 League Two Play-Off Final at Wembley Stadium. Potent striker Alassana Jatta subsequently moved on to join Casa Pia AC in Portugal.
Leicester City preview
- Final position 2025/26: 23rd in the Championship
Leicester are making a 29-mile trip north. The Foxes were Premier League champions just 10 years ago yet presently nurse back-to-back relegations. The former MK Dons, Swansea City, Southampton and Rangers boss Russell Martin was installed as Leicester’s first team manager on 15th June. On Tuesday, striker Admir Bristric was brought in from Slovenian club NK Olimpija Ljubljana. Meanwhile, there are interesting reports which claim Leicester City are up for sale.
Score prediction: Notts noble 3-1.
