Manchester City continue to shorten in William Hill’s Premier League relegation market, with the Sky Blues now 5/4 to go down.
Enzo Maresca’s side are favourites among the non-newly promoted sides to be relegated to the Championship, with only Coventry (1/2), Hull (8/13), and Ipswich (6/5) ahead of them in the market.
With the Premier League back for the first time since City’s financial charges, all eyes turn to Sunday’s trip to Anfield, where Liverpool (8/5) have attracted more bets to win than the visitors.
- Manchester City – 6/4
- Draw – 5/2
- Liverpool – 8/5
William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps said: “Manchester City have continued to shorten in our Premier League relegation market, and they are now the 5/4 favourites among the non-newly promoted sides to go down, with only Coventry (1/2), Hull (8/13), and Ipswich (6/5) ahead of them in the betting.
“Fans will be looking forward to City’s first Premier League outing since they were found guilty of 115 charges, but at the moment punters seem to think Liverpool are more likely victors this weekend, with more money being bet on the Reds ahead of City’s trip to Anfield on Sunday.”
