The New York Knicks will donate at least 500 NBA Finals tickets to underprivileged youth with the Garden of Dreams Foundation, via SNY’s Ian Begley.

Garden of Dreams Foundation Youth are set to receive 250 tickets per home game at Madison Square Garden in the Finals. It would represent at least 500 tickets being donated across Game 3 and Game 4 before climbing up to 750 tickets if Game 6 takes place.

The Knicks are making their first appearance in the Finals since 1999.

It’s an admirable gesture as New York attempts to win a championship, especially considering the high ticket prices to attend the team’s home games during the upcoming series.

The Knicks are entering the Finals with plenty of momentum, sweeping the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round of the playoffs before sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Since falling into a 2-1 series deficit at the hands of the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the postseason, New York has won 11 consecutive playoff games.

The Knicks have dominated on both ends of the floor during the streak, winning by an average final margin of 23.8 points per game across that span. It marks the highest point differential for any team over an 11-game stretch in the regular season or playoffs in NBA history.

New York has been led by star point guard Jalen Brunson once again, as he’s averaging 26.9 points and 6.6 assists per game on 48.6/35.2/83.9 shooting splits during the postseason. Brunson was named Eastern Conference Finals MVP.

The Knicks now await the winner of the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder as they clash in the Western Conference Finals, although either team will begin the NBA Finals at home after they both finished with a better record than New York during the regular season.

Game 3 of the Finals at Madison Square Garden will take place on June 8.
