Pakistan, the most successful team in Hong Kong Sixes history, opens the defence of its title on Friday as the 22nd edition of the six-a-side tournament gets under way at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground.
Led by Abbas Afridi, the player of the tournament last year, Pakistan is chasing a record-extending seventh crown after beating Kuwait by 43 runs in the 2025 final.
It meets India, led by Krunal Pandya and winner only once, in 2005, in the pick of the opening-day fixtures. Twelve teams are in the field across three days of action, with England and South Africa, five titles apiece, among those hoping to close the gap on Pakistan.
