The Georgia Bulldogs will open their season at home against the Tennessee State Tigers on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 3 p.m. ET. This year, Georgia is looking to return to the College Football Playoff for a third consecutive time and to win their fourth SEC championship in five seasons.
The Bulldogs will be heavily favored against Tennessee State. Georgia opens the 2026 college football season against a pair of non-Power Four opponents before playing their SEC opener in Week 3 against the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Georgia’s 2026 schedule features nine SEC games for the first time in conference history. Georgia will play four home games, four road games and the usual neutral site matchup with Florida this season. However, the Florida game will be played in Atlanta due to a stadium renovation going on in Jacksonville. The Bulldogs play Georgia Tech in nonconference play to cap off the season.
In addition to the season opener, Georgia also revealed afternoon kickoff times for the Western Kentucky and Arkansas games.
