NFL receiver Michael Pittman on benefits of boating, fishing players
Pittsburgh Steelers receiver, Michael Pittman, explains how boating and fishing are becoming more popular among NFL players.
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Parris Campbell is calling it a career at 28 years old.
Campbell didn’t make an announcement about his decision, but the Cowboys officially moved the veteran receiver to the reserve/retired list on May 27.
Campbell played seven NFL seasons after being a second-round pick by the Indianapolis Colts out of Ohio State. He played sparingly across his first three seasons before enjoying a breakout 2022 season on eve of free agency, generating 63 catches for 623 yards and three touchdowns, all representing career-best marks.
Since that campaign, Campbell has played in just 18 total games for three different teams – the New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles and Cowboys – across a tour of the NFC East.
Campbell spent most of the 2025 season on Dallas’ practice squad. The veteran appeared in just one game for the team, playing two offensive snaps and six special teams snaps without recording a statistic.
The Cowboys signed Campbell to a reserve/future deal after the season to keep him on the 90-man roster. He was set to make the veteran minimum on a one-year deal but was facing an uphill battle to make a Dallas receiver room that already features established players like CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, KaVontae Turpin, Ryan Flournoy and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
As such, Campbell will ride off into the sunset having totaled 123 catches for 1,117 yards and six touchdowns across 50 games (27 starts) and having made just under $10.7 million in career earnings, according to Spotrac.com.
