chelsea will not look back after selling noni madueke

We all know that Noni Madueke is a decent player and can be very good on his day. I also think he’s a very inconsistent player as well mind and although he can create a goal from nothing, he’s certainly not a world beater.

But that isn’t why we should not regret selling him, it’s more to do with his attitude. It is my personal opinion that I believe he thinks he’s a lot better than he actually is. But I’ve also had it on good authority from more than one top source that his attitude stinks. He’s been called out by a couple of managers for how he’s trained and overall, he’s just not a person we should want to have around the place whether he’s a good player or not – and there’s a debate there for sure.

I’m writing this based off Pat Nevin’s comments yesterday. I usually find myself agreeing with Nevin, but not with this one.

    He said:

“I have to say my eyebrows were raised when they let Noni Madueke go. And to bring Garnacho in… I’m not sure yet. Really not sure. Between Garnacho, Gittens and Madueke, to choose one of those three to play each week at the moment I would be choosing Madueke. I wouldn’t really be hesitating over that for a second.

“I think a lot of people at the end of this season will look at how Madueke’s done and look at how Garnacho’s done and compare them. I think there might be a wee bit of regret there.” chelsea will not look back after selling noni madueke

I’m also not yet sure on Garnacho and Gittens. However, they weren’t replacements for Madueke, who plays on the opposite wing, Estevao Willian was. And I don’t think we have any question marks over his head! Pedro Neto is also a solid option to have there.

But to say he thinks there will be regrets for selling Madueke is not it for me. None of us should regret that. These are the kind of egos and players who end up causing squad issues and discontent. For me, it’s the same with Nicolas Jackson as well. That’s why I was pleased to see the back of both of them. The way Jackson behaved in the summer was bang out of order as well, he told Chelsea there was no way he was not joining Bayern when Chelsea wanted him back in. We’re better off without players like that – we all remember the couple of penalty fiascos we had. You wont see that with the current crop of players we have, thankfully.

We all know that Noni Madueke is a decent player and can be very good on his day.
