Brock Lesnar has opened up about his plans for life after wrestling.

Lesnar wrestled what turned out to be the final match of his career when he challenged Oba Femi inside Hell in a Cell in the main event of WWE SummerSlam Saturday in his home state of Minnesota. Femi survived multiple devastating moves, including a Tombstone Piledriver onto the exposed ring boards, before ultimately defeating Lesnar with the Fall From Grace powerbomb.

After the match, Lesnar endorsed Femi as the future of WWE in a symbolic passing-of-the-torch moment. Shortly afterwards, WWE moved Lesnar to the Alumni section of its official website, further fueling speculation that his in-ring career had come to an end.

The speculation was confirmed when Lesnar appeared on The Pat McAfee Show and officially announced his retirement from professional wrestling. Following the announcement, McAfee asked “The Beast” what he plans to do now that his legendary career is over.

When McAfee jokingly asked whether retirement meant Lesnar would simply “get fat,” the former WWE and UFC Champion explained that he plans to spend more time with his family, enjoy the outdoors, and support his children’s athletic dreams.

“I got some hunting lined up, and I got two boys in hockey. I’m going to support their dreams as long as that’s feasible. And my daughter, she’s got her eye on the 2028 Olympics,” Lesnar said.

“Just going to spend some more time with the kids, and in the woods, and just reap what I’ve sown, man. Just enjoy life.”

Lesnar also admitted that his body is still recovering from his final match against Oba Femi at SummerSlam on Saturday.

“I spent the last two days in bed. I got run over by a Nigerian Nightmare dump truck Saturday night.”

The former WWE Champion said his health ultimately played a major role in his decision to retire.

“It’s time. I’m 49, and I still want to be able to get around and move.”

Lesnar also thanked everyone who helped shape his legendary career, including WWE, TKO, UFC President and CEO Dana White, the Minnesota Vikings, the University of Minnesota, and the fans.

“I’m grateful, very grateful. Oba was great. The WWE Universe, everybody… I want to thank the promotion itself, TKO. I want to thank Dana White and the UFC, and the Minnesota Vikings, and the University of Minnesota. Everybody that believed in me, and took a chance on me. I’m just grateful, Pat. I’m so grateful. I can’t believe it.”
