A fascinating full midweek programme is approaching in our in our EFL League One calendar and William Hill News preview the best of the action on Tuesday evening.

Merely two points separate the top six sides. So League One betting is hugely popular – especially since the two leading protagonists face Tuesday night away trips.

These are the upcoming pairings I am anticipating most alongside my considered score predictions to assist your football betting…

    Burton Albion v Bradford City

    • Kick-off: 7.45pm
    • Rankings: 10th versus 1st

Burton Albion preview – Three ongoing winless games leave the Brewers five points shy of Play-Off discussions. Only one home EFL victory to date inside five attempts.

Bradford City preview – Saturday’s 2-0 home triumph against Stevenage signalled a first League One win for new boss Michael Duff.

It extended the Bantams’ unbeaten sequence to six matches thereby taking them up to pole position establishing a one point buffer. Just five goals leaked all campaign for the division’s tightest defensive rearguard too.

    Score prediction: Bantams bubbling 3-1.

    Doncaster Rovers v Stockport County

    • Kick-off: 7.45pm
    • Rankings: 17th versus 2nd

Doncaster Rovers preview – Fresh from the 2-1 loss at Leicester City which ended Donny’s run of three League and Cup wins without conceding a goal. They sit one point above relegation peril.

Stockport County preview – Five unconquered results embracing all competitions culminating in four straight victories. Therefore one point short of first place.

    Score prediction: Stockport smartest 1-0.

    Huddersfield Town v Peterborough United

    • Kick-off: 7.45pm
    • Rankings: 3rd versus 19th

Huddersfield Town preview – Outside the automatic promotion slots on goal difference following four undefeated League and Cup performances. The tenacious Terriers haven’t lost at home during 2026/27 EFL combat.

Peterborough United preview – Two wins and a draw spanning all competitions beyond Robbie Savage being appointed manager on 2nd October. Posh hover one point over the relegation region though.

    Score prediction: Huddersfield hoorah 4-2.

    Bromley v Leicester City

    • Kick-off: 7.45pm
    • Rankings: 22nd versus 14th

Bromley preview – Back in 2015/16, Leicester City were crowned Premier League champions whilst little Bromley finished 14th in the National League.

Fast forward 10 years and the two teams now meet on level footing. Incredible! The Ravens currently nurse four consecutive League and Cup defeats slumbering below the dreaded dotted line on goal difference.

Leicester City preview – The double relegated Foxes lie four points clear of danger zone participation. That aforementioned 2-1 scoreline over visitors Doncaster Rovers on Saturday was a first victory amid three EFL engagements easing pressure somewhat on under-fire boss Russell Martin.

Yet despite distinctly troubled times, Leicester remain unbeaten away across League One assignments this season (one win, three draws).

Score prediction: Bromley brilliant 2-0 and Martin sacked afterwards.

The rest of Tuesday’s League One score predictions:

    • AFC Wimbledon v Mansfield Town 1-0
    • Blackpool v MK Dons 0-0
    • Cambridge United v Wycombe Wanderers 3-2
    • Luton Town v Barnsley 2-0
    • Notts County v Sheffield Wednesday 0-3
    • Oxford United v Wigan Athletic 4-1
    • Stevenage v Plymouth Argyle 2-2
