    We take a look at an ambitious newly formed non league club who are ‘hoping rise through the leagues and inspire a city’.

    Meet Birmingham Albion FC, a newly established grassroots football club based in Birmingham, and will groundshare at Coton Green.

    They have been formed to provide a structured, positive football environment with the long-term vision is to build a sustainable club that develops players and people, and contributes meaningfully to the local community.

    CLUB UPDATES:

    28th October 2025: “Birmingham Albion FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Ammandev Bajwa (@devsfootballclub) as Sporting Director.

    “Mr Bajwa will lead player recruitment, football operations, and performance strategy as we build a competitive first-team squad for the 2026/27 Saturday League season.

    Welcome to Birmingham Albion FC, Ammandev!

    He said in November 2025: “”A club being built with the aim of connecting with the local community to forge a journey based on the values of the city – and to try and break the non-league mould. And when I say this is at the beginning, it really is!””

    On the 10th November 2025: “We are proud to confirm that Birmingham Albion FC is now officially 𝐅𝐀 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 (★𝟏) and affiliated within the English football system.

    “From an idea to an officially recognised club this is just the beginning.

    “Thank you to everyone who has supported the journey so far. Now the real work starts: building our squad, staff and community for the 2026/27 Saturday League season.”

    On the 31st of January, the club confirmed Alistair Brown as their new first team manager.

    They said: “We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Alistair Brown as First Team Manager of Birmingham Albion F.C.

    “A proven leader with a clear vision and high standards — we’re excited for the journey ahead.

    “Welcome to the Albion, Ali 🤝”

    A statement issued on the 24th of April 2026: “Birmingham Albion FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Kelvin Omuojine as Club Secretary.

    “Kelvin brings valuable experience in sports law, governance, regulatory matters, dispute resolution, and football administration. His background and professional approach will strengthen the club’s organisational structure as we continue to build solid foundations for the future.

    “As a new and ambitious club, strong governance and clear communication are vital to our progress, and we believe Kelvin will play an important role in supporting the club both on and off the pitch.

    “Welcome to the Birmingham Albion FC family, Kelvin.

    “More than a badge. A club built with pride.”

    On the 18th of May, the club said: “Richard Phillips plays an important role behind the scenes as our Kit Manager, helping keep standards high and making sure the lads are prepared properly.

    “Every club needs good people behind the team, and we’re proud to have Richard with us.

    “Thank you for your hard work and commitment, Richard. 🤎”

    Then on the 23rd of May, added: “A calm presence, a strong voice, and a coach who brings experience and belief to the group.

    “Adolf-Kwame Kyere continues to play an important role in shaping our first-team environment, driving standards and supporting the work being built at Birmingham Albion FC.

    “The work continues. 🤎”

    On the 26th of May, another update: “A player’s mentality with a coach’s eye for detail.

    “Kieran Matthews adds drive, discipline and leadership to the group as Player–Assistant Manager.

    “Standards on the pitch. Support from the touchline. 🤎”

    They announced pre-season friendlies against Coton Green, Wyrley Juniors, FC Premier, Burnham United AFC and Cresswell Wanderers.

    Then came the news that Birmingham Albion FC have been accepted into the West Midlands Regional League for the 2026/27 season.

    “A proud and historic moment in our club’s journey.

    “This achievement is the result of dedication, belief, and the hard work of everyone who has helped build Birmingham Albion from the ground up.

    “The journey continues. The ambition grows.

    “Built from Passion. Driven by Purpose.

    “Up the Birmingham Albion. 🔥🤎”

    They confirmed: “Birmingham Albion FC is pleased to confirm that the Club has entered into a ground hire agreement with Coton Green Football Club for the use of facilities at The Dave Henderson Memorial Ground, New Mill Lane, Fazeley, for the 2026/27 season.

    “This marks an important milestone in the continued development of Birmingham Albion FC, as the Club continues to build strong foundations both on and off the pitch.

    “The Club places on record its sincere thanks to Coton Green Football Club for its support,
    cooperation and professionalism throughout this process.

    “Birmingham Albion FC looks forward to building a positive and constructive relationship in the months ahead.”
