Ahead of the 2026/27 FA Cup first round proper, William Hill News examine the chances of some of this season’s outsiders and Plymouth Parkway are priced at 5000/1 to lift the trophy next May.

Arsenal are the current FA Cup betting favourites at 9/2 while Manchester City, plagued by off-field issues and uncertainty, are next up at 11/2. Liverpool are one of the competition’s most successful teams and they can be backed at 7/1.

But minnows Plymouth Parkway, currently plying their trade in the Southern League Premier Division South, can be backed at 5000/1 and it would be the biggest shock in football history if they went all the way.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Plymouth Parkway have already made history by reaching the FA Cup first round proper after their 2-0 victory over Chertsey Town, and they have entered the outright betting for the tournament at 5000/1.

“The Southern League Premier Division South side have been dealt a dream draw in terms of their chances of progression, dodging the EFL powerhouses, and matching up with fellow seventh-tier side Berkhamsted.

“Berkhamsted are also quoted at 5000/1 for outright glory, but one thing is for sure, one team will make history and reach the second round of England’s main domestic cup competition.”

In addition, Tadley Calleva – currently preparing for a replay against Aldershot Town – are also 5000/1 to lift the FA Cup at the end of the 2026/27 campaign.
