The 2026 Money in the Bank Ladder Match is now full. Six women have qualified in Triple Threat matches to earn their shot at grabbing the briefcase. Tiffany Stratton grabbed the last spot as she defeated both Candice LeRae and Tatum Paxley on this week’s SmackDown.
In a great finish to the match, LeRae was laid out by Stratton which allowed Paxley to hit a 450 Splash. However, as the referee was counting, Stratton landed the PME onto both Paxley and LeRae. She then moved Paxley out of the way to get the pin on LeRae to win.
Overall, this year’s MITB line up is full of fresh faces. Only two women out of six have participated in a MITB match before. Stratton of course winning in 2024 and also Roxanne Perez who was in her first one last year. Joining Stratton and Perez this year are Lash Legend, Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, and the WWE Women’s United States Champion, Jacy Jayne.
Elsewhere on Friday’s show, Blake Monroe FINALLY had her debut match. After first showing up on SmackDown around June, she finally went toe-to-toe with Giulia.
The final moments of the match had Monroe trip up Giulia on the ropes. Giulia landed face first on the ring post, which pretty much knocked her out. Monroe pinned Giulia for the win.
Post match, Giulia had to be helped to the back. This is all said to be kayfabe.
In a backstage moment between Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Paxley…we find out that next week, Paxley and Flair get a WWE Women’s Tag Team Title match against Fatal Influence.
Lastly, the WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green, was being interviewed. She was asked who she thinks will win MITB. She said Stratton because they are like sisters, just like Nikki & Brie…until Nikki became…
Nikki showed up and let Green know that she won’t need to worry about a MITB cash in as she intends to take the title off of her. Paige enters and says Nikki can’t just show up and demand a title match because she is not that special anymore. She adds that Nikki will need to go through her first in two weeks in Sacramento. The segment ended with a slap across Nikki’s face from Paige…and a hair flip from Green.
