Paige has made it clear that her issues with Nikki Bella aren’t finished yet. During the Oct. 2 episode of WWE SmackDown, the former Divas Champion confronted Bella backstage and set the stage for another singles meeting between the two rivals.
The confrontation began when WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green discussed the upcoming Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Nikki interrupted to declare that she intends to challenge Green for the title regardless of who wins the briefcase.
That brought Paige into the conversation, and she quickly made it clear that Bella has another piece of business to handle first.
Paige and Nikki Bella set for WWE SmackDown rematch
Paige told Bella that she doesn’t simply have the pull to demand a championship opportunity and insisted that Nikki would have to go through her first. Bella reminded Paige that she won their previous match, but Paige wasn’t interested in debating the result.
Instead, Paige told Nikki she had two weeks to prepare for their rematch. She then slapped Bella across the face before walking away, making the challenge official for the Oct. 16 episode of SmackDown in Sacramento, California.
The rivalry between the former Divas Champions began at SummerSlam 2026, when the Bella Twins turned on Paige following a six-woman tag team match.
Their first singles encounter in nearly 11 years took place on Sept. 11. Paige controlled much of the contest, but Nikki used the ropes for leverage to score a roll-up victory.
Nikki continued to frustrate Paige on Sept. 25 when she interfered in another six-woman tag team match, tripping her and helping Fatal Influence secure the victory.
Now, the two will run it back in Sacramento. With Nikki already setting her sights on Chelsea Green’s championship, Paige appears determined to settle their score before Bella can move on to the title picture.
For Nikki, it’s another chance to prove the first victory was no fluke. For Paige, the rematch offers an opportunity to even the score — and perhaps put this feud back on track.
