Deepti Sharma has appeared in three women’s editions of The Hundred since 2021, playing for London Spirit in 2021 and 2024 and in 2026 with Sunrisers Leeds.
In 2021, she played eight matches for London Spirit, scoring 77 runs at a strike-rate of 113.23 and average of 19.25. She also took 10 wickets at an economy rate of 5.26, finishing as the team’s leading wicket-taker.
In 2022, Deepti was signed by Birmingham Phoenix as a wildcard but did not feature for the franchise in a match that season. She didn’t feature in the competition’s 2023 edition and returned in 2024, finding her way back to London Spirit.
She was part of the team that eventually won the tournament that season. Deepti was a crucial campaigner for the side with 216 runs and 12 wickets to her name in nine games. She famously sealed the title win for the side with a six down the ground in the final.
No Indian woman participated in the 2025 edition of The Hundred. Deepti, who still had an active contract with London Spirit, opted out of the edition to manage her workload ahead of the ODI World Cup, which India eventually won. She was player of the tournament in a campaign where India eventually won its maiden ICC world title.
Deepti was signed by Sunrisers Leeds (a revamp of Nothern Superchargers after IPL owners entered the franchise pool to invest) for the 2026 edition.
She featured in every game for the franchise finishing at its highest wicket taker with 13 scalps. She also managed 69 runs in four batting innings, with a highest score of 28 not out, while maintaining a strike rate of 115.
She also featured in the final where Leeds tamely surrendered to eventual champion Trent Rockets.
