Shiloh Hill may have just caught a major break in his recovery. After revealing earlier this week that he fractured part of his skull and could be out for a while, the NXT star now says doctors believe he may be able to get back in the ring sooner than they first expected.

Hill gave fans the update on X on August 6, 2026, thanking everyone who reached out after news of the injury came out. He explained that the location of the fracture and the rapid drop in swelling have changed the outlook on his recovery.

“Thank you all for all the get well wishes. Recently got some good news, which is that because of the placement of the fracture and how quickly the swelling has gone down, I may be back in the ring a little sooner than the doctor’s initially thought.”

That is a much better situation than Hill described on the August 4 episode of WWE NXT. At the time, he revealed that he had fractured part of his skull and warned fans that “it might be a while” before he could wrestle again.

Now, only two days later, that timeline does not sound nearly as grim. Hill still did not give an exact return date, and there is no indication that he has been medically cleared yet. The important part is that doctors now believe his recovery could move faster than originally expected. He also made it clear that he is staying connected to WWE while he heals, promoting upcoming NXT live events in Melbourne and Jacksonville.

“That being said, don’t miss NXT Live in Melbourne tomorrow and Jacksonville on Saturday.”

Hill had been building momentum before the injury forced him out, so getting back sooner than expected would be a huge break. A skull fracture is still serious business, but this is easily the best update he could have given fans this early in the process. If the swelling keeps going down and doctors like what they see, Shiloh Hill’s WWE return may not be as far away as everyone thought just a few days ago.
