Zoey Serrano has no problem getting close to fans for a photo, but she says some people are getting a little too comfortable with where they put their hands.

During her Zoey 101 Q&A, Serrano was asked whether she has ever been groped or grabbed by fans. She said she has never dealt with that during one of her wrestling entrances, but things can get uncomfortable during meet-and-greets when fans pull her in too close for pictures. Serrano explained that she enjoys meeting fans, but some guys have placed their hands around her lower hip while posing with her, which immediately crosses a line for her.

“So I’ve never been groped or grabbed by fans during my entrance or anything like that. It’s more so when I do meet and greets and I love meeting the fans, but sometimes guys pull me in too close where it’s like close and personal to almost to the point where you’re on my lower hip. I don’t like being touched there, guys. Like, I don’t think any female likes to be touched there.”

Serrano then spelled out where she is comfortable with someone putting their hand during a photo and where things start getting too personal.

“So when you pull me in, I’m okay with like shoulder. I’m okay with even like right here. But if you’re a little too close to this area or you’re a little like below my belly button, I’m incredibly uncomfortable. I won’t say anything. I just won’t. But I inside, I don’t like it.”

The uncomfortable part is that Serrano admitted she usually keeps those feelings to herself when it happens. She also made it clear she doesn’t think she is the only woman in wrestling who feels that way.

“I know I’m not the only one that feels this way. Just, you know, just be considerate.”

Serrano isn’t telling fans to stop putting an arm around her for a meet-and-greet picture. Her message is much simpler — pay attention to exactly where that hand lands.

“Guys, when you put your hand over me, that’s fine. Great, we’ll take the photo. Just. Just know where you’re putting your hand.”

Meet-and-greets are supposed to give fans a chance to get a photo and spend a few seconds with their favorite wrestlers, but that doesn’t mean personal boundaries disappear once the camera comes out. Serrano is still happy to pose with fans — she just wants people to keep their hands in a place that doesn’t turn an ordinary photo into an uncomfortable situation.

What do you think about Serrano speaking out about fan behavior at wrestling meet-and-greets? Have you seen fans cross the line while taking photos with wrestlers? Let us know your thoughts and feedback in the comments.
