Nattie never meant to start a public argument involving AJ Styles and his son, Avery Styles. What started as just a compliment for two young wrestlers turned into a bigger debate about wrestling etiquette, paying dues, and whether young wrestlers should help with jobs outside the ring.

Now, Nattie has spoken about the situation and admitted that she feels bad about how things turned out.

Nattie Neidhart says she never wanted to plant the seeds for controversy

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Nattie explained that her original comments only intended to praise Avery Styles and Marcus Mathers after watching them wrestle for GCW.

The WWE Superstar said she enjoyed what the two young wrestlers did in the ring. Moreover, she wanted to just lavish some praise and give them some credit. However, her comments later led veteran wrestler Arik Cannon to criticize Avery for allegedly not helping set up chairs at the event.

Despite everything that happened, Nattie said she does not want to take sides in the argument. She believes people should talk to each other directly instead of fighting things out on social media.

“Everybody is allowed to feel how they want to feel. That’s not just in this situation. Our fans and wrestlers, promoters, people in general all have different opinions on things, but that’s part of life. So somebody feels this way, AJ feels this way, I feel this way, the promoter feels this way. Everybody is allowed to feel how they want to feel. I’m just big on communication. If I have an issue with Nic Nemeth, which I’ve never had, thankfully, I would probably talk to Nic privately and say, ‘Hey Nic, you weren’t really polite to my cats when you came over.’ Communication is really important. It goes back to us being able to talk like adults,” Nattie said.

Nattie also warned about the problems that can come from trying to settle disagreements on social media.

“I would never take it to social media and go on a Twitter rant about something because… everybody is going to have an opinion. It can get really explosive,” Nattie added.

She clarified she never wanted to start a controversy. The WWE star only wanted to praise the young wrestlers and their performances at GCW.

“All I did, and I do feel bad because I didn’t mean to cause this big controversy, all I was trying to do is send out a positive message because I went to GCW, and the match that impressed the hell out of me was Marcus vs. Avery. All I’m going to say, because I don’t want to bring more life to this situation, is that I watched the match, TJ watched the match, and it impressed me so much. It was two young men working on their craft and pouring their heart and soul into the mat,” Nattie added.

Now, she hopes everyone can move on from the situation and talk things out privately.
