A White Sox game turned into something straight out of WWE when a fan came flying into an upper-deck brawl with a dropkick, kicking off a wild scene in the stands while the action on the field was still going.
The chaos broke out during the White Sox vs. Mets game, with video from the upper deck showing several fans getting into it as punches and shoves started flying. Then one guy decided fists apparently weren’t enough.
He came charging into the mess and delivered a full-on wrestling-style dropkick, sending another fan crashing backward and immediately turning the fight into something that looked more like a ringside brawl than a baseball game. Jeremiah Winesack shared footage of the incident on Twitter and summed up the wrestling connection perfectly.
“MASSIVE Fight in upper deck at White Sox vs Mets Game today. Guy came in from the top rope 👀”
The fight continued after the dropkick, with fans exchanging shots and stumbling through the rows before security eventually moved in to get things under control. Meanwhile, the actual baseball game had its own dramatic finish, with the White Sox beating the Mets 2-1 on a ninth-inning walk-off home run from Tristan Peters. Still, plenty of people online were more interested in the guy who apparently decided the upper deck needed a WWE match.
Baseball fights are nothing new, but seeing somebody launch a dropkick in the middle of the stands takes things to another level. No entrance music, no ring bell — just one fan apparently deciding it was time to come off the top rope.
