Baron Corbin plans to restore the WWE United States Championship to its original design after winning it at SummerSlam.
A couple of months after he won the WWE United States Championship at WrestleMania 42, Trick Williams customized it by backing and lining it with a sensational faux-fur design. However, he lost the title to Baron Corbin at Night Two of SummerSlam, and the new champion plans to rip every ounce of fur from it.
Baron Corbin won his first WWE main roster singles championship since 2017, and he appeared on the SummerSlam post-show to address his victory. He noted that he told everyone he was on a mission when he returned, and he lived up to his words by winning the United States Title within three weeks of his comeback.
WWE backstage interviewer Cathy Kelley then asked Baron Corbin how quickly he plans to change the title belt back to its original design. Corbin said, “The best part about this title is Trick just had this done for himself. I think it’s pretty new, like two weeks old, and I’m gonna rip every ounce of fur off of this, and get it back to its pristine original state where it gets the respect it deserves.”
