The show opens up with a video package recapping the events of last week’s NXT including Zilla Fatu’s debut.
Vic Joseph and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T then welcomes us to the show as Cruz Montana’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring through the NXT Universe.
Montana then grabs a mic and starts off by asking the fans what’s good. Montana then calls out Zilla Fatu. Montana then says when he came to NXT, he made his intentions very clear that he is going to take a spot. Montana then says he set his sights on Tony D’Angelo’s NXT Championship. Montana then says if it wasn’t for Zilla Fatu, he would have been the No.1 Contender for the NXT Championship. Montana then says he isn’t allowing Fatu to take what belongs to him. Montana then learns Fatu is not here.
AAA World Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix then shows up and says he is curious to find out who he is going to defend his title against next week. Fenix then says if someone cost him a title shot, he is ready for them too. Fenix then says he understands where Cruz Montana is coming from. Montana then recalls his history with Fenix. Montana then says he respects the way Fenix represents himself and his culture. Montana then says the NXT parking lot is the most dangerous place in NXT and he’ll be out there waiting for Zilla Fatu.
EK Prosper then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Tristan Angels follows. Romeo Moreno then makes his way down to the ring with Noam Dar and La Parka follows.
AAA World Cruiserweight Championship #1 Contender’s Fatal 4-Way Match: EK Prosper vs. Romeo Moreno vs. “Mr. England” Tristan Angels vs. AAA’s La Parka
The match starts off with Tristan Angels sending La Parka over the top rope and to the floor. EK Prosper and Romeo Moreno then hit a double superkick to Angels. They are now going back and forth. Prosper then takes Angels out on the outside. Moreno then hits a hurricanrana to Parka for a near fall. Angels then drags Moreno to the outside and drops him over the apron. Back in the ring, Parka is bringing the fight to Angels. Parka then hits a kick and Moreno runs into a clothesline. Parker and Prosper are going at each other now.
Prosper then hits a flying clothesline and he follows it up with a standing dropkick to Moreno. Moreno then sends Angels over the top rope and to the floor. Moreno then launches himself over the top rope, wiping out everybody. Parka then hits a moonsault to the floor. Back in the ring, Angels and Moreno are exchanging blows. Angels then hits a backbreaker. He then knocks Parka off the apron. Angels then hits Moreno with a vertical suplex for a near fall. Moreno then runs into a clothesline.
Prosper then heads to the top rope and launches himself, but Angels hits him with a backstabber. Parka then hits a series of chops, but Angels hits him with a backstabber as well. Prosper then superkicks Angels. Parka then hits Angels with a kick. Prosper and Parka then run into each other. Moreno then hits a missile dropkick and all four men are down. Prosper then hits Moreno with a DDT. Angels then sends Prosper over the top rope and to the floor. He then hits Prosper with an uppercut and he follows it up with a superplex. Moreno then breaks the fall.
Moreno then hits Angels with a vertical suplex. Moreno then heads to the top rope, but Parka counters with a Spanish Fly. Prosper then breaks the fall with a Frog Splash. Prosper then hits Moreno with a dropkick. Angels then superkicks Moreno. Parka then hits an exploder on Moreno. Prosper then hits a Shining Wizard to Angels. He then hits a running knee to Moreno. Prosper then heads to the top rope and hits a moonsault for the win.

We are then told that Zilla Fatu will sign his NXT contract tonight.
We then see Wren Sinclair hyping up Kendal Grey backstage. The Vanity Project then walks up to them. Brad Baylor then asks Kendal Grey if she needs someone to take care of her. Kendal Grey then says she never thought Brad Baylor would ask her, but she turns him down. She then says the Vanity Project reminds her of the guys she used to wrestle in high school. Ricky Smokes then says he wants to offer Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair some advice ahead of their tag team match later tonight. Jackson Drake then calls Shiloh Hill a freak. He then vows to beat him tonight and punch the Vanity Project’s ticket to Heatwave. The two teams then get into an argument. Kendal Grey then wishes them good luck before walking off. Myka Lockwood then tells Jackson Drake to lock in and prove them wrong.
Thea Hail then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night with Jaida Parker and Nattie follows with Karmen Petrovic and Nikkita Lyons.
Singles Match: “The Lowkey Legend” Nattie vs. Thea Hail
The match starts off with Nattie pounding away at Thea Hail. Nattie then applies a Sharpshooter, but Hail fights out of it. Nattie then applies a chin lock and both women are trading slaps. Nattie then applies a side headlock in the middle of the ring. Nattie then hits a shoulder tackle. Hail then pounds away at Nattie, forcing her to retreat. Hail then flies through the air, wiping out the heels. Back in the ring, Nattie applies a surfboard in the middle of the ring. Nattie then tries to bend the body of Hail. Nikkita Lyons then provides a momentary distraction.
Nattie then continues the beatdown on Hail. She then hits a discus lariat for a near fall. Hail then applies a Kimura Lock on Nattie, but Nattie drives her back into the corner. Nattie then goes for a Sharpshooter, but Hail counters with a backslide. Hail then hits an exploder. Hail then tosses Nattie across the ring for a near fall. She then follows it up with a big headbutt. Hail then hits a World’s Strongest Slam to Nattie. She then misses a senton, allowing Nattie to pound away at Hail. Hail then applies a Kimura Lock again. Nattie then breaks the hold and turns it into a Sharpshooter and Hail taps out.

After the match, Lyons and Petrovic hold Parker in place to force her to watch on as Nattie cinches in a Sharpshooter on Hail. Parker then immediately checks on Hail when Nattie decides to release the hold on her.
We then head to the back, where Bronco Nima walks up to Lucien Price. He says he knows how BirthRight moves. Lucien Price then says he got Lexis King last week and he will get it done this week as well.
Lucien Price then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and BirthRight follow.
WWE Men’s Speed Championship Match: BirthRight’s Lexis King (c) vs. OTM’s Lucien Price
The match starts off with Lucien Price superkicking Lexis King. BirthRight then saves King and the fight spills to the outside. Price is then chasing off King. Price then sends King back into the ring. King then hits a kick. Price then hits a thunderous chop. Price then sends King back into the ring. He then hits a splash on King in the corner. Price then runs into a superkick. Price then hits another chop. Price then sends King back into the ring again. King then hits Price with a DDT for a near fall. King then hits Price with a big knee. He then hits a series of kicks across Price’s chest.
Price then clotheslines King and follows it up with a back elbow. He then hits a headbutt. Price then plants King into the canvas. He then sends King all the way to the top of the turnbuckle. BirthRight then distracts the referee, allowing King to hit a Coronation for the win.

After the match, Stacks, Dempsey and Connors beat down Price until Bronco Nima runs out to the ring to come to Price’s aid. Nima and Price then embrace one another in the ring, seemingly having made up with one another.
We then see Grayson Waller in the backstage area.
Grayson Waller then makes his way down to the ring. Waller then grabs a mic and starts off by saying he’s been begging for someone to try and end the Grayson Waller takeover, but instead of one of those TikTok fights actually doing something, he somehow has to deal with another Samoan trying to take the bread off his table. Waller then says he’s not scared of Zilla Fatu or his family. Waller then says he’s been fighting Uces all his life. Waller then calls Zilla Fatu the black sheep of the family. Waller then says he’s happy for Zilla Fatu. Waller then says Zilla Fatu chose the wrong show and wrong guy at the wrong time.
Waller then says Zilla Fatu can’t handle this version of Grayson Waller. Waller then declares himself the No.1 Contender for Tony D’Angelo’s NXT Championship. Waller then says no one can do anything about it. Tony D’Angelo’s music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring. D’Angelo says he has no problem with Waller calling himself the No.1 Contender because he will keep knocking out his opponents. D’Angelo then wonders where these Bloodline members are coming from. D’Angelo then says he will knock every single one of them flat on their a**.
Cruz Montana then makes his way out and says he was out at the parking lot waiting for Zilla Fatu to show up. Montana then says he doesn’t know if he spun Waller’s block a little too hard or what because he was primed to pin Waller last Tuesday before Zilla got involved. He then proposes finishing his business with Waller, challenging D’Angelo for the NXT Championship and taking out Zilla. Robert Stone then appears to announce that D’Angelo will be defending his NXT Championship against Montana and Waller at NXT Heatwave. He then adds that he’ll handle Zilla when he arrives at the Performance Center.
We then head to the back, where Lizzy Rain and Shiloh Hill are chatting with one another. Myles Borne then interrupts them to let Hill know that he talked to Stone and Hill will receive a shot at the NXT North American Championship if he defeats Jackson Drake tonight. Hill is hyped by the news and he thanks Borne.
We then see Robert Stone get off the phone with Zilla Fatu. He says Fatu will be here in 30 minutes. He then enters his office and sees Keanu Carver sitting in his chair. Keanu Carver says he wants a shot at the NXT Championship. He then says he made a coffee for Robert Stone in the meantime. Kam Hendrix then walks into Robert Stone’s office and says he should be next in line for the NXT Championship and Keanu Carver seems unhappy.
Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Kali Armstrong and Kelani Jordan follow.
Tag Team Match: WrenQCC (WWE NXT Women’s Champion Kendal Grey and WWE Women’s Speed Champion Wren Sinclair) vs. Kelani Jordan and “Too Strong” Kali Armstrong
The match starts off with Wren Sinclair and Kelani Jordan and both women lock up. Jordan then applies a chin lock. Sinclair then fights out of it and does the same. Sinclair then hits Jordan with a dropkick. Kali Armstrong then comes in and Sinclair targets her midsection. Kendal Grey is now the legal woman and she superkicks Armstrong. Armstrong then sends Grey into the corner and tags Jordan in. She then drives her shoulder into the midsection of her opponent. Grey then runs into an elbow. Jordan then hits a superkick.
The babyfaces then stand tall over the heels. Grey then hits a hurricanrana to Kali Armstrong. Sinclair then hits a crossbody, wiping out their opponents. Armstrong and Jordan then continue the beatdown on Grey. Jordan then hits a springboard moonsault for a near fall. Grey then comes in and she hits a belly-to-belly suplex to both Armstrong and Jordan. Grey then tosses her opponents across the ring. Grey then applies an Ankle Lock on Armstrong in the middle of the ring. Grey then hits a back elbow.
Sinclair then hits a series of chops to Jordan. She then hits a back elbow. Sinclair then plants Jordan into the canvas. She then goes for a double underhook, but Jordan fights out of it. Grey then tries to run interference, distracting the referee. Armstrong then tags herself in. She then goes for a powerbomb, but Sinclair counters with a Final Wrench Submission. Grey then sends Jordan to the floor. Jordan then sends Grey into the steel steps. Armstrong then hits a powerslam to Sinclair and follows it up with a Kali Connection for the win.

After the match, Sinclair checks on Grey inside the ring as Armstrong celebrates her victory with her signature dance on the bottom of the entrance ramp and Jordan looks angrily at Armstrong.
We then head over to a sit down satellite interview between Saquon Shugars and Dion Lennox. Both men get into a verbal confrontation with one another, during which Lennox tells Shugars that he has always been in his shadow and Shugars responds by challenging Lennox to a Steel Cage Match. Lennox then accepts the challenge, but ups the ante by wanting to throw some weapons into the mix. Shugars then tells Lennox that he’ll learn what this is and promises to beat him next week. He then says he is a diamond created by carrying the pressure of dead weight in DarkState on his shoulders. Lennox then promises that the two of them will walk into the cage, but only one of them will walk out.
Shiloh Hill then makes his way down to the ring for the main event of the night and The Vanity Project follow.

The match starts off with both men locking up and Shiloh Hill hits a thunderous chop. Hill then slams Jackson Drake down into the canvas. Hill then drives his shoulder into the midsection of Drake. Hill then hits a neckbreaker. Drake then applies a side headlock. Both men are now going back and forth. Myka Lockwood then gets on the apron, allowing Brad Baylor to hit a cheap shot at Hill. The Vanity Project then lays a beatdown on Hill behind the referee’s back. Back in the ring, Drake hits a Shining Wizard for a near fall.
Drake then hits a double stomp on Hill for a near fall. Drake then hits a neckbreaker. Drake then hits a stomp on Hill’s hand. Drake then hits Hill with a Cutter for a near fall. Drake then applies a side headlock in the middle of the ring. He then hits a back elbow for a two count. Drake then hits a kick to Hill for another near fall. Hill then tries to fight back, but Drake hits him with a dropkick. Hill then clotheslines Drake, turning him inside out. Drake then runs into a big boot. Hill then slams Drake into the mat and he follows it up with a rolling senton for a near fall.
Drake then misses a springboard moonsault, allowing Hill to hit a forearm. Lockwood then gets on the apron again. The Vanity Project then tries to attack Hill again, but the referee catches them red-handed and ejects them from the match. Hill then wipes everybody out. Back in the ring, Hill heads to the top rope, but Drake meets him up there. He then inadvertently knocks out the referee. Naraku then blindsides Hill with a poison mist. Drake then climbs the top rope and hits a 450 Splash for the win.

We then head to ZARIA and Robert Stone backstage. ZARIA asks Stone, “What is happening?” Stone says it was a fair trade since Saquon Shugars and Dion Lennox ran interference during her title match last week. Kali Armstrong then walks into Robert Stone’s office. She asks Robert Stone what’s next for her after she pinned the Women’s Speed Champion. ZARIA then says there won’t be any Speed Championship to challenge for after Heatwave. Kali Armstrong then says she doesn’t think ZARIA is a dominant champion. Robert Stone then books a match between the two and says if Kali Armstrong wins, she will get added to the title unification match at Heatwave.
We then head to the parking lot and we see a black SUV arriving and Zilla Fatu emerges.
Robert Stone is now in the ring and he introduces NXT’s newest superstar Zilla Fatu. Zilla Fatu then reunites with WWE Hall of Famer Booker T on his way down to the ring. Zilla Fatu then greets the WWE Universe. Zilla then says this is a big moment for him to be signing with the number one wrestling company in the world. The WWE Universe then erupts with “Umaga” chants. Zilla then says he never thought he would be here, but he is now. Zilla then says his goal is to show everyone that he is not just another nepo baby. Zilla then says he is here to let his talent speak for himself. Zilla then admits he made a lot of folks mad. Zilla then tells the locker room to get used to it.
Grayson Waller then makes his way out with a bunch of officials. Zilla then calls him Mr. Controversy. Cruz Montana then makes his way out. Robert Stone then says the contract states Zilla Fatu’s first match is an NXT Title Match. Zilla then tells everyone that at Heatwave he will be turning the Triple Threat Match into a Fatal 4-Way Match. He then puts pen to paper to make things official. Security then holds Montana back and Waller on the outside as Zilla yells at them from inside the ring. D’Angelo then holds up his NXT Championship and stares them all down as the show comes to a close.
