Women’s cricket fans from across Kent are being invited to come together this summer for a special Women’s World Cup Final Celebration at The Mote Cricket Club in Maidstone on Sunday 5 July.
The Kent Cricket Foundation, in partnership with The Mote Cricket Club and Cure Parkinsons UK, are putting on a day of celebration for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Final, hosted in England and Wales for 2026. This free community event will stream the World Cup Final on the big screen, live from 2:30pm, providing the perfect opportunity for families, players and supporters to enjoy the biggest match in women’s cricket together.
The day itself will, however, start earlier, from 10:30am, and feature a range of activities for all ages, including a Women’s Softball Cricket ‘World Cup’ competition, cricket activity stations and stalls, and the chance to train in the nets alongside the Kent Women’s players. A BBQ and refreshments will also be available throughout the day.
Entry to the event is FREE for those who register their interest in advance, with a £5 charge on the gate for anyone who has not pre-registered.
The celebration aims to inspire more women and girls to get involved in cricket, while bringing together clubs, volunteers, players and supporters, to mark what promises to be a landmark summer for the women’s game.
