Aaron Rodgers confirms this will be his last NFL season
Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers confirms with reporters that this season with the Steelers will be the last one of his career.

Last season, the Philadelphia Eagles became the first team to repeat as NFC East champions since they did so across the 2001-04 NFL seasons. Can they achieve that goal once again?
It may depend on exactly how strong the NFC East is. The Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants and Washington Commanders all look improved over the squads that struggled last season. The Cowboys should field a better defense than last season, while the Giants and Commanders will hope that full, healthy seasons from Jaxson Dart and Jayden Daniels can carry them, respectively, into playoff contention.
Nonetheless, the Eagles are the only team in the division presently projected to have a winning record. That should give them the upper hand, even with the potential trade of veteran wide receiver A.J. Brown looming as one final offseason obstacle.
Despite facing the NFC West as part of their yearly rotating schedule, the Eagles still have the NFL’s seventh-easiest schedule, according to Sharp Football Analysis. That should position Philadelphia to make a sixth playoff run in as many seasons under the leadership of Nick Sirianni – provided that the Eagles’ offensive line can hold up without the tutelage of the legendary Jeff Stoutland.
Here’s a look at how the Eagles will fare in 2026, including a record prediction and a game-by-game breakdown of their results.
Philadelphia Eagles record prediction 2026
Record prediction: 12-5
The Eagles became the first NFC East team to win back-to-back division titles in 21 years. They are aiming for a three-peat this year.
On paper, the Eagles have the most talented squad in the division. Brown’s future is uncertain in Philly, but the offense is centered around Saquon Barkley and the running game. New offensive coordinator Sean Mannion is tasked with improving a lethargic Eagles passing attack that ran basic concepts last year.
The Eagles defense lost Jaelan Phillips to the Panthers, but supplemented the loss with edge rusher Jonathan Greenard. The addition of cornerback Riq Woolen should also help what was a top-10 pass defense. – Tyler Dragon

- Week 18 (TBD): at New York Giants – WIN
Toughest game: Week 17 at San Francisco 49ers. The Eagles will likely relish a chance to beat the 49ers after being eliminated by San Francisco during last season’s playoffs. That said, a late-season, cross-country trip to play a potential Super Bowl contender is never easy, especially coming off a two-week defensive gauntlet against the Seahawks and Texans.
Easiest game: Week 13 at Arizona Cardinals. Maybe Carson Beck will be starting by this game, which could give the Cardinals some life. But even if he is, Vic Fangio is a savvy, veteran defensive coordinator who will scheme up ways to rattle him and limit Arizona’s offense.
Must-watch matchup: Week 7 vs. Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys represent the Eagles’ biggest threat to a divisional three-peat. The long-time rivals square off for the first time on “Monday Night Football” in Week 7. That should be a great test to see which team has the matchup advantage and whether Dallas’ new-look defense can improve against Philadelphia’s new-look offense.
