West Ham United are moving to permanently replace Crysencio Summerville after opening negotiations with Tottenham Hotspur over a deal for Manor Solomon.
Summerville’s big-money move to Al Hilal has left a major gap on the left wing. The Dutchman was one of West Ham’s brightest attacking players despite the club’s relegation from the Premier League, meaning finding a replacement has become one of the Hammers’ biggest priorities this summer.
Rather than gambling on another young prospect, the club appear to be targeting a player with proven Championship pedigree in Solomon.

Why Solomon could replace Summerville… | ||
Both are left-wingers who like to cut inside onto their stronger right foot. Solomon’s 22 goal contributions in 39 games shows he can produce elite Championship numbers, even if they don’t quite match Summerville’s tally. West Ham in permanent talks to sign Solomon
According to The Athletic’s Seb Stafford-Bloor, Tottenham and West Ham are in negotiations over a permanent transfer for the Israel international.
Solomon joined Spurs in 2023 but injuries and a succession of loan spells have limited him to just five Premier League appearances for the north London club.
With Roberto De Zerbi and Spurs seemingly prepared to sanction his departure, a move across the capital is becoming increasingly realistic.
West Ham’s interest is easy to understand given what Solomon has achieved in the Championship. During his loan spell at Leeds United in 2024/25, the winger was one of the division’s standout performers as Daniel Farke’s side lifted the title with 100 points.
Solomon produced 22 goal contributions in 39 league appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing 12 assists. He also wrote his name into Leeds folklore by scoring the dramatic stoppage time winner on the final day against Plymouth Argyle to clinch the Championship title.
Those numbers suggest he could be an ideal replacement for Summerville. Like the Dutchman, Solomon is at his best cutting inside from the left onto his stronger right foot, using his close control to beat defenders before creating or finishing chances himself.
His experience of English football would also mean little adaptation time, and it would be a short move across London. Negotiations between the two clubs are on, and West Ham and Nuno appear to be on the right track to sign a player who has already shown he can be one of the Championship’s most decisive attackers.
