Tyson Fury is set for a long-awaited clash with Anthony Joshua, but is seeking a warm-up first. Now, another contender has been thrown into the mix, with Fury understood to be ‘very interested’ in the proposed fight.

Fury and Joshua’s long-awaited clash has finally been signed, and will take place pending success in their respective ‘tune-up’ fights. While Joshua is scheduled to take on Kristian Prenga next month, Fury remains without an opponent for a reported August outing.

Promoter Frank Warren has promised a ‘good’ opponent but recently ruled out the possibility of ‘The Gypsy King’ taking on former Joshua vanquisher Andy Ruiz Jr, who is believed to have priced himself out of the bout.

Speaking to Play UK, another Joshua rival, Jarrell Miller, revealed that Fury is ‘very interested’ in a fight with him, whilst discussing a potential all-American showdown with Deontay Wilder.

“I am one of the most avoided heavyweights for a long time. We’re seeing that now. We’re trying to call Deontay Wilder out. He has no fight coming up. I’m the top heavyweight in America right now, so we’re trying to make some things happen. Let’s see if he’s going to bite the bullet.

“Tyson Fury is very interested as well. I’d love to fight those guys. Deontay or Tyson would be a lovely fight for me. Let’s see if we can make it happen.”

Fury’s manager Spencer Brown recently confirmed the willingness of both men to make that fight happen, however did say that Miller would likely not be able to complete a full training camp in time for the targeted date.

The American has scored two victories already during 2026, overcoming both Kingsley Ibeh and Lenier Pero, with the 37-year-old hopeful that those triumphs will earn him another shot on the big stage.
