Most Valuable Promotions beefed up its impressive stable of female boxers Monday by signing England’s Tysie Gallagher, 27, a British champion and No. 5-ranked IBF junior featherweight contender.
“Signing a multi-year deal with Most Valuable Promotions is a huge moment in my career, and I want to thank Nakisa Bidarian, Jake Paul and Mike Leanardi for this opportunity,” Gallagher said. “I’m excited to represent Britain on the global stage and become world champion.”
MVP has a strong contingent of U.K. fighters, including Caroline Dubois, Ellie Scotney, Chantelle Cameron, Savannah Marshall, Terri Harper and more.
In Gallagher 10-2, MVP gains a former WBO title challenger who began boxing at age 10 and amassed 35 amateur fights, winning two national titles.
Gallagher last earned a unanimous decision victory over Ellie Hellewell in defense of her Commonwealth, British and WBO international titles in September.
She is expected to land on an MVP card soon.
“Few fighters have done more to push British women’s boxing forward than Tysie Gallagher, a fighter who has consistently proven herself against top competition and built one of the strongest resumes in the country,” MVP co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian said in a joint statement.
“She has demonstrated the skill, toughness and determination that embody everything MVP looks for in its athletes. As we continue to strengthen MVPW’s global roster and deepen our roster within the 122lb division, we’re excited to welcome another elite UK fighter and provide the platform for Tysie to pursue her world title ambitions.”
