Axel Disasi should be one of the first players to leave Chelsea this summer, with plenty of interest in him from clubs.

Chelsea will have to wait until after the World Cup to get a lot of their business done – but they will still be trying to wrap up deals before that to get things moving.

Sales are especially important as they look to keep liquid ahead of buying players, and a key sale this summer is going ot be Axel Disasi. The defender had a good half-season on loan at West Ham and should fetch a solid fee.

Nizaar Kinsella’s latest piece for the BBC says Disasi has “agreed a permanent exit would suit all parties” and is “attracting interest from two Premier League clubs and one in Italy.”

West Ham were keen to keep him, and only their relegation has likely stopped that happening. Chelsea spent almost £40m on him, and will be hoping to get something like £25m back at the very least.

Disasi has shown he’s a competent Premier League defender and should have more interest just from the three clubs mentioned above as the summer rolls on. Selling him early would allow Chelsea some nice flexibility.

Chelsea signed Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United a year ago – could they return and do something similar this year?

Another Chelsea talent is rising through the academy, and multiple Premier League teams are looking to sign him when his contract expires.
