Tony Khan took part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in support of AEW‘s Rebel.

Many wrestling personalities have joined the initiative to show support for AEW star Rebel, whose real name is Tanea Brooks. She revealed in March 2026 that doctors had diagnosed her with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). After being nominated by wrestling legend Sting, Tony Khan took part in the Ice Bucket Challenge.

Before dumping ice water on himself, Tony Khan nominated Jacksonville Jaguars Head Coach Liam Coen, General Manager James Gladstone, and Executive Vice President and NFL Hall of Famer Tony Boselli.

Khan also promoted AEW Rebel Heart Dynamite, a special benefit show to raise funds for ALS organizations while honoring Rebel’s contributions to the company. It will take place at the Akins Ford Arena in Athens, Georgia, on September 9, 2026.

“I’m here to talk about something that affects one in every 300 people. It affects a lot of people close to us, and it’s a terrible disease, ALS. And it hits very close to home in AEW and in the NFL… Rebel Heart is an episode of Wednesday Night Dynamite coming up in Athens, Georgia on September 9th,” Khan said.

“And the fight against ALS is very close and important to us in AEW because it affects somebody that we really care about in AEW. Somebody that’s been with us for many years who has been diagnosed with ALS. And that is Tanea Brooks, known to the fans and everyone in AEW as Rebel. And we’re having Wednesday Night Dynamite, Rebel Heart, September 9th in Athens, Georgia. The tickets are on sale now,” Tony Khan said.
