TNA is adding another championship contest to its upcoming Destination X event, with the Knockouts division set for a major showdown on November 15.
The announcement came during the October 29 episode of iMPACT, when a new challenger made her intentions impossible to ignore.
Indi Hartwell’s championship reign now faces another difficult test, and this time, her challenger comes with plenty of experience and a formidable tag team partner.
Shayna Baszler challenges Indi Hartwell for TNA Knockouts Championship at Destination X
The segment began when Shayna Baszler and Zoey Serrano entered the ring following a video package highlighting Hartwell’s journey. Serrano attacked a security guard, while Baszler took possession of commentator Tom Hannifan’s headset to address the champion.
Baszler revealed that TNA authority figure Daria Rae hired her to challenge Hartwell for the Knockouts World Championship at Destination X. She also issued a direct warning to the reigning champion.
“I’m letting everybody know Daria hired me to face Indi Hartwell at Destination X, one-on-one for the TNA Knockouts Championship,” Baszler announced.
She continued by addressing Hartwell’s championship journey, making it clear that she intended to turn the champion’s feel-good story into a nightmare. The match was subsequently made official, giving Baszler an opportunity to add singles gold to her current championship collection.
Hartwell captured the Knockouts World Championship by defeating Xia Brookside at Bound For Glory. Baszler also enjoyed success at the same event, teaming with Serrano to defeat Allie and Kiera Hogan for the Knockouts World Tag Team Championships.
The upcoming contest will mark their first singles meeting under the TNA banner, adding another interesting chapter to the Knockouts title picture.
TNA Destination X takes place on November 15 at the Edmonton EXPO Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and will stream live on TNA+. The updated card also features Leon Slater defending the TNA World Championship against Trey Miguel, alongside men’s and women’s Ultimate X matches and the World X-Cup tournament.
With Baszler now targeting Hartwell’s gold, the champion has another serious obstacle standing between her and a successful title defence.
