WWE Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable has praised The Undertaker, but not for his in-ring career. The wrestling legend currently works as a producer in AAA. Gable believes Undertaker’s approach could change WWE’s locker room.

Under his leadership, AAA has looked different. Gable’s El Grande Americano character’s emergence and the storyline about reclaiming the moniker’s true identity was a highlight of wrestling in recent years. After building up Gable and El Grande Americano’s converging paths, the decisive match received acclaim and plaudits for its execution. The Undertaker played a huge part in the planning and execution of the storied rivalry. Chad Gable elaborated on the role of ‘The Deadman’ behind the scenes. Moreover, he highlighted Undertaker’s potential to shake up the main roster if given the chance.

Chad Gable says The Undertaker’s AAA speed could revolutionize WWE’s main roster

Speaking with Huge Pop with Donny DaSilva and Jimmy Korderas, Gable asked if more of the match was called in the ring. He explained that the bout felt completely different. He said, “It was the most feeling it in the moment I’ve ever done in my entire career. The cool answer would be, ‘We didn’t go over anything.’ Really, it was just feeling. The lucha libre crowd are so passionate that they allow you to feel comfortable doing that. Just going out and performing like nowhere else I’ve ever gone.”

Gable then credited Undertaker for helping him mentally. “I credit the Undertaker a ton of times throughout the fallout to this match for pulling that out of me. The ability and willingness to go out there and feel it, and not worry so much. It takes a mental shift; it takes the ability to be confident in yourself and your ability to carry a match without having things in your head.”

He continued, “Part of that is being a pro and trusting your instincts and what you’ve done for thirteen years, and also relying on your amateur background. I had to pull from some of that mentality of that killer instinct for when it’s time for me to take control, I’m going to run this match.”

“It sounds philosophical. But when you reach that level, and you’re able to let everything else go and be in the moment, there is nothing like it. Something else is guiding you and propelling you forward. You can’t quite explain it, but it’s the best feeling in the world.”

He believes Undertaker’s advice could help the main roster. “I don’t want to volunteer Undertaker for anything, but if he could give that same speech that he gave to me, I can’t even use the words he used in some of the speeches he gave to me to pull it out of me, but if he could give that to the main roster and really get through to people, we’d see a revolution. It’s been great.” [H/T: Fightful]
