After a bit of a Beach Break last week, tonight AEW Dynamite is in Boston as we’re in for some Trios action tonight!
But first, the Brawling Birds come out and are looking for some bars and more bar fights. They have their sights set on Wembley Stadium, but look to have some fun tonight in Boston.
Boston’s own, Mercedes Moné, teams up with the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions, The Divine Dominion, to take on Hyan, Maya World, and Willow Nightingale. Nightingale had won her shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship during last week’s Casino Gauntlet Match. Moné’s alliance with Megan Bayne and Lena Kross will look to stop Nightingale as Moné treads the path towards the same title.
Nightingale and Moné face off, but Moné leaves it up to the Divine Dominion to do her dirty work. Moné tries to give them some instructions, but she gets dumped on the outside as her team is taken out.
World is cut off from her team, but manages to fight through all three to get to Nightingale. Chaos ensues with all the team members, and Nightingale gets one big lariat in on Bayne. Moné and World tag in and roll around to find the pin. The CEO hits the Three Amigos, but World gets back at her as she gets her knees up for the Frog Splash.
Hyan is left alone to fend off the Divine Dominion, but Nightingale saves her from any more damage. Moné makes the tag in, but eats a hard spear from Hyan only to get a two-count. The CEO sets Hyan up for the Moné Maker and lands it to pick up the win. Moné declares that it doesn’t matter if it’s Nightingale or Thekla, and that she is coming for the world title.
