    What a slate of action we have this week in sports. The French Open is underway in Paris, we’re approaching the sharp end of the NBA playoffs, and the Champions League season culminates in Budapest.

    Monday

    French Open Day 2

    The 2026 French Open rolls along in Paris. Four-time champion Iga Swiatek and young American stars Ben Shelton and Amanda Anisimova are among the names to get their tournaments underway. 

    NBA – Knicks vs. Cavaliers Game 4

    Up 3-0 in the Eastern Conference finals and on a historic 10-game winning streak, the New York Knicks will look to advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999.

    Tuesday

    French Open Day 3

    The second Grand Slam of 2026 continues at Roland Garros. The final day of the first round sees some of the world’s best players make their debuts at the tournament, including Jannik Sinner, Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff.

    2026 World Cup – USMNT roster announcement

    US men’s national team head coach Mauricio Pochettino will announce his 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup. After several lackluster performances over the past year, the team is under significant pressure to perform at this summer’s tournament, which is mostly being held in the United States along with Canada and Mexico.

    NBA – Spurs vs. Thunder Game 5

    After San Antonio’s dominant victory in Game 4, which was punctuated by Victor Wembanyama’s buzzer-beating 3 from half court at the end of the first half, the Western Conference finals shifts back to Oklahoma City for a pivotal Game 5. 

    Wednesday

    French Open Day 4

    The second round of the 2026 French Open gets underway, with players such as Novak Djokovic, Mirra Andreeva and Alexander Zverev scheduled to play.

    NBA – Cavaliers vs. Knicks Game 5 (if necessary)

    If the Knicks fail to win Game 4 in Cleveland, they’ll have another chance to advance to the NBA Finals, returning home to play at Madison Square Garden.

    Thursday

    French Open Day 5

    The second round of the 2026 French Open wraps up at Roland Garros. If all matches are completed, we’ll be down to 32 players in each of the men’s and women’s singles draws. 

    Women’s College World Series Day 1

    The Women’s College World Series kicks off with four games on a loaded opening day. No. 3 Texas Tech takes on No. 5 Mississippi State and No. 1 Texas faces No. 2 Tennessee during the day, before No. 1 Alabama clashes with No. 2 UCLA and No. 1 Nebraska matches up with No. 2 Arkansas in the evening.

    NBA – Thunder vs. Spurs Game 6

    One of these two teams will have the chance to advance to the NBA Finals in Game 6. The Thunder are seeking a second straight appearance in the Finals after winning it all last year, while the Spurs are looking for their first berth in the Finals since 2014.

    Friday

    French Open Day 6

    The third round of the 2026 French Open gets underway in Paris. With more and more seeded players beginning to face one another, we’re bound to see some big names exit the tournament. 

    Women’s College World Series Day 2

    The Women’s College World Series continues in Oklahoma City. Friday features two elimination games, with the losers from Thursday facing off.

    NBA – Knicks vs. Cavaliers Game 6 (if necessary)

    If the Eastern Conference finals extends this far after the Knicks led the series 3-0, New York fans everywhere will be fearing the worst.

    Saturday

    French Open Day 7

    The third round of the 2026 French Open wraps up at Roland Garros. Those who win on Saturday will see their tournament extend into the competition’s second week.

    Champions League final – PSG vs Arsenal

    The best club in Europe for the 2025-26 season will be crowned in Budapest. French champions Paris Saint-Germain are seeking their second straight title, while English champions Arsenal are seeking their first-ever title in this competition.

    Women’s College World Series Day 3

    Another two games in Oklahoma City as the Women’s College World Series rolls along. Thursday’s winners are back in action, with a chance to advance to the semifinals with another victory.

    NBA – Spurs vs. Thunder Game 7 (if necessary)

    Wouldn’t this be a treat! The Western Conference finals has been a thrilling series so far, and it deserves a Game 7. The drama would be ratcheted to the highest level if this game comes to pass in Oklahoma City. 

    Sunday

    French Open Day 8

    The fourth round of the 2026 French Open gets underway in Paris. Spots in the quarterfinals will be on the line. Last year saw Tommy Paul and Frances Tiafoe win in this round to become the first American men to reach the last eight of this tournament since Andre Agassi did so in 2003.

    2026 World Cup warmup  – USMNT vs. Senegal

    The US men’s national team plays the first of two international friendly matches ahead of the start of the 2026 World Cup. First up is a game in Charlotte, N.C. against Senegal, who won the Africa Cup of Nations in January before having their title stripped in March. 

    Women’s College World Series Day 4

    The final two spots in the semifinals will be up for grabs in Oklahoma City as the winners from Friday and the losers from Saturday face off.

    NBA – Cavaliers vs. Knicks Game 7 (if necessary)

    If this game takes place, something has gone devastatingly wrong for the New York Knicks. If the Eastern Conference finals were to extend to a seventh game, the Cavaliers would have a shot at making history as the first NBA team to win a series after trailing 3-0.
