Tessa Blanchard is finally giving her side of the story after her latest TNA exit, and she made it clear this was not just some random split. According to Blanchard, TNA put the decision directly in front of her and told her she needed to choose whether she was going to be a TNA wrestler or a CMLL wrestler.

Speaking on CMLL Inform, Blanchard opened up about why she walked away from TNA after returning to the company at Final Resolution in December 2024. At first, the word going around was that she asked for her release and got it, but now Tessa is explaining the personal side of that decision.

Blanchard said she has received a lot of messages since the news came out, but she wanted to set the record straight herself. Then she revealed the big part of the story. Tessa said TNA directly asked her to pick a side.

“The truth is, I have received a lot of messages from friends and news, and I haven’t replied to any of them yet. I want to sort things out and set the record straight today. Here, I have a life, and I feel very happy.”

“The U.S. company (TNA) asked me, ‘Tessa, you need to decide whether you’re a CMLL wrestler or a TNA wrestler.’”

That lines up with the political problem surrounding TNA, WWE, AAA and CMLL. It was previously stated that Blanchard could not continue working both CMLL and TNA due to TNA’s relationship with WWE, especially with WWE owning the majority of AAA’s parent company. AAA is one of CMLL’s biggest rivals in Mexico, which made things complicated fast. Blanchard said she did not rush into the decision. She talked it over with her father, Tully Blanchard, before realizing that Mexico is where her life and career need to be right now.

“I took my time to think it over with my dad, whom I trust very much. My life is here. I’m not just another foreigner—I’m the most Mexican Gringa.”

She also made it clear that she already accomplished what she wanted in TNA. Blanchard is a former Knockouts Champion, former TNA World Champion, and the first woman to ever hold the company’s world title. For her, CMLL is where the unfinished business remains. Then Tessa left no doubt about where she stands now.

“I have many goals to achieve here, and I already reached the top of the mountain. I won everything over there, but here I have many dreams and goals to pursue.”

“I needed to focus my career and my life here in Mexico, and from this moment on, I’m 100% with CMLL.”

That statement pretty much closes the book on her latest TNA run. Blanchard came back in December 2024 by attacking Jordynne Grace after Grace’s match with Rosemary, instantly putting herself back into the Knockouts division mix. Now, that comeback is over, and Tessa says her full focus is on CMLL.

In the end, Tessa Blanchard says TNA forced her to make a choice, and she chose the place where she has built a life in Mexico. She has already reached the top in TNA, but in CMLL, she clearly believes there is still more work to do.

What do you think about Tessa Blanchard saying she is now 100% with CMLL after leaving TNA? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comments section below.
