Solo Sikoa’s battle with Roman Reigns’ Bloodline appears to be expanding. On the June 5 episode of WWE SmackDown, the MFT leader set his sights on a rising star who may soon find himself caught in the middle of the conflict.
With tensions continuing to rise between the rival factions, Sikoa made a direct approach backstage to a WWE talent he believes could strengthen his ranks ahead of what he described as an impending war.
Solo Sikoa attempts to bring Royce Keys into MFT
During a backstage segment, Sikoa confronted Royce Keys. He reminded Keys that he was the person who originally brought him into WWE. According to Solo, neither Roman Reigns, The Usos, nor even Keys’ longtime ally Jacob Fatu had ever truly looked out for him.
Sikoa attempted to sell Keys on the benefits of joining MFT, pointing to the success of members such as Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga. He argued that following his leadership could lead to championship opportunities and a brighter future on SmackDown.
The conversation quickly turned more serious. Solo noted that Jacob Fatu had now aligned himself with Roman Reigns, leaving Keys without anyone in his corner. He then issued a warning, telling Keys he could either cooperate or have his life made considerably more difficult.
Keys wasn’t interested in falling in line.
The former independent wrestling standout pushed back against the recruitment effort, stating that he had worked too hard throughout his career to reach WWE only to start taking orders from someone else. It was a clear rejection of Solo’s offer and a sign that Keys isn’t ready to join the Family Tree.
The issue didn’t end backstage. Earlier in the night, Keys suffered a loss to Talla Tonga after multiple referee distractions, continuing a difficult stretch that has seen him repeatedly targeted by MFT.
With Roman Reigns’ Bloodline and Solo Sikoa’s faction preparing for battle, Keys may soon be forced to decide where he stands in WWE’s growing civil war.
