The tag team division has seen some highs and lows. The history of the division has also shown fans that strange teams can be very successful. At this point, R-Truth and Damian Priest have proven that they belong at the top of that conversation.

WWE SmackDown tonight went down at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Fans packed the venue, and they couldn’t wait to see how the two title matches turned out.

The WWE Tag Team Championships were on the line this week as fans saw Damian Priest & R-Truth vs. The MFTs.

This match closed out the first hour of SmackDown in Kansas City. Fans had no idea where things would go, especially after the opening match was so chaotic.

This match was also proceeded by Jacob Fatu making a very interesting offer for Solo Sikoa to re-join the Bloodline. This is an offer that it seemed Solo considered.

This match was a fun one for fans in Kansas City. Solo Sikoa was previously asked to not get involved in this match, but he came out to ringside anway. This distraction was enough to help R-Truth and Damian Priest snag a pinfall and retain their titles. Talla Tonga and Tama Tonga were not happy at all about this, and they left the ring with Solo looking defeated.

Damian Priest and R-Truth are still the champions, but there is no shortage of challengers. Only time will tell what is next for everyone involved, but neither team is going to stop bringing everything they have to grab the brass ring in WWE.

What’s your take on this tag team championship match? Do you think that WWE made the right call? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
