Seth Rollins has offered a clearer look at his WWE future, revealing that he still has three years on his current contract. However, his plans outside the ring could make the next phase of his career particularly interesting.
Rollins discussed his future with Sports Business Journal while also addressing his growing role in sports media. The former World Heavyweight Champion has not appeared on WWE television since SummerSlam, although he recently wrestled on WWE’s South American live-event tour.
The Visionary’s WWE deal isn’t the only contract shaping his future. Sports Business Journal reported that Rollins also has an agreement with ESPN that includes a set number of appearances across the network’s programming.

Rollins has become a regular presence on shows including Good Morning Football, while his ESPN deal also covers appearances on First Take, Get Up, SportsCenter, and other daily programs.
Despite his expanding media career, Rollins isn’t planning to hang up his wrestling boots anytime soon. He told SBJ, “Right now, I’ve got three years left on my WWE contract — I’ll be 43 when that’s up.”
Rollins also made it clear that he doesn’t currently view wrestling and sports media as an either-or decision.
“What I will not do is say I’m stopping wrestling and now I’m doing sports media,” he said. “I want to continue at this game in WWE while also continuing to field offers [in sports media] and see where that goes.”
The WWE star acknowledged that his priorities could change as his current deal gets closer to its end. “Once we get closer to the next contract with WWE, it’ll be like, ‘OK, what does this look like? Is there any interest from an ESPN for a bigger role or something that’s more substantial, something that can provide for me after pro wrestling?” he said.
For now, Seth Rollins is happy juggling both careers. “Right now, I’m very happy where I’m at and that I get to do both.”
With three years still on his WWE contract, The Visionary’s future remains firmly in focus — both inside the ring and behind the sports desk.
