The July 27 episode of WWE RAW went down at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. As the company’s flagship show returned to the same location where they made their Netflix debut, there were a lot of possibilities.
Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are set to do battle at SummerSlam. This week on RAW, the two former Shield brothers had a face-to-face.
The OTC made his way to the ring during the final segment of the night on Netflix. Fans paid respect to Roman Reigns as World Heavyweight Champion, but they were also ready to sing Seth Rollins’ song.
Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins started out their promo battle. Reigns called Rollins “an asshole,” and Seth didn’t refute it. He said that’s how he gets his, because some people start out on third base. Meanwhile, people like Seth Rollins has to survive to get his. That being said, he’s not taking anything away from Reigns at all, but Seth said that Roman will neve rbe better at professional wrestling.
Seth Rollins went on to say that he has owned Roman Reigns every time they’ve faced each other in the past. He suggested that Roman will get DQ’ed like he did in 2022 at the Royal Rumble, or he will call in the Bloodline to help him out.
Roman Reigns fired back that Seth Rollins doesn’t understand because “I’m the only true Superstar, I’m the only real champion around here.” He went on to say that everyone needs Roman to beat Seth, including the whole industry. That is when Seth Rollins said that he remembered how Roman Reigns said his family needs to see him beat Seth. That made him mention the WrestleMania where he cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase and Roman’s family left in tears. He hopes Roman’s family is there on Sunday, because he wants to make his family cry again.
After Seth Rollins said that Roman Reigns is his bitch, the OTC fired back with a physical assault. Roman hit a Superman Punch and a spear in retaliation. As Seth Rollins got back to his feet, the fans chanted “OTC.” Then Roman got a steel chair, but he didn’t get to use it before Rollins jumped him with a stomp into the chair.
