RUSH isn’t looking for an escape route to AAA — and he made that crystal clear with one very short answer.
On September 4, 2026, a fan suggested that El Toro Blanco could be useful to WWE-owned AAA, telling him, “Brother, they could use you in the AAA.” RUSH didn’t entertain the idea, tease anything or leave the door cracked open, writing, “No thanks, my present is #aew”
That’s about as direct as it gets. The response comes at an interesting time for RUSH, who hasn’t wrestled for AEW since the July 1 Collision tapings. He was also left off All In: London, something he addressed before the Wembley event by saying he would keep working and wait for his next opportunity.
All In has now come and gone, and RUSH still hasn’t returned to the ring. That naturally opened the door for fans to start throwing other destinations into the conversation, especially AAA now that the promotion is under WWE ownership.
RUSH clearly isn’t interested. Despite being away from AEW television and missing one of the company’s biggest shows of the year, El Toro Blanco’s message makes his current loyalty pretty obvious. Whatever is keeping him out of action, he isn’t using the downtime to publicly angle for a move to AAA.
For now, RUSH is planting his flag with AEW while fans wait to see when he finally gets back in the ring. One fan tried to point him toward AAA, and RUSH killed that idea before it could even get started.
What do you think about RUSH shutting down the idea of going to AAA and declaring AEW is his present? Where do you want to see El Toro Blanco when he returns to action? Let us know your thoughts and feedback in the comments.
