A report put out by POST Wrestling has indicated that NXT talent, Keanu Carver, has an order of protection filed against him by an unnamed fellow NXT talent.
The report states –
WWE NXT wrestler Keanu Carver, whose legal name is Kevin Robertson, is under an order of protection to stay away from and not contact another NXT talent who filed a petition against him. That NXT talent filed the petition in a Florida court earlier this month, alleging that Robertson stalked and harassed that person. POST Wrestling is choosing not to identify the petitioner unless that person chooses to be named publicly.
The petition alleges that the petitioner and Robertson dated and that the relationship recently ended. In the days that followed the breakup, Robertson allegedly made a series of unwanted visits to the petitioner’s home and made unwanted calls to the petitioner, as many as 44 times in one day.
The 49-page filing includes many screenshots showing calls to the petitioner and stills from a security camera outside the petitioner’s home depicting Robertson’s alleged repeated unwelcome visits.
The protection order is a civil matter. Although stalking is a criminal offense under Florida law, we could not confirm whether any charges will be filed. An official with the local police department told us the case is still pending with the State Attorney’s Office. That office told us the case is being investigated and they could not answer whether charges will be filed.
The petition seeking an order of protection was filed against Robertson on September 14. A judge granted the temporary order of protection the same day. After a hearing on September 22, the court extended the order through the date of another hearing set for October 20. Court records show that Robertson asked for a continuance so he could obtain counsel. The order requires Robertson to stay at least 500 feet away from the petitioner and prohibits him from having any contact with the person.
POST Wrestling sent requests for comment and a set of questions to an email address and by text message to a phone number believed to belong to Robertson. We have not yet received a response.
The petition alleges that Robertson’s conduct led the petitioner to call police on September 13, after Robertson again came to the petitioner’s residence, refused to leave, and made threats to harm himself. Robertson left before police arrived, according to the petition. The petitioner asked the court for the order of protection the next day.
Robertson last appeared on NXT programming on September 8. His most recent match was on September 12 at an NXT house show in Lakeland, Florida, the day before the incident that involved a call to police. We could not confirm Robertson’s current status with WWE. The company did not respond to an inquiry, which included questions about whether Robertson is under a suspension and if WWE is conducting an investigation.
The petitioner alleges that while they were dating, Robertson’s behavior was abusive and threatening. Before they broke up, the petitioner claims Robertson “spat on me, physically restrained me from leaving his house.” The petition continues: “[H]e has threatened to kill me, as well as my cats, he has woken me up by plugging my nose in my sleep, he has grabbed me by my throat multiple times and squeezed hard while threatening to kill me.”
The petition details multiple alleged incidents of unwanted visits and calls after their break-up. The petitioner says that Robertson came to the petitioner’s home on September 4 at 7 a.m., “intoxicated and under the influence of drugs and alcohol.” The petition does not specify what “drugs” Robertson was allegedly using.
On September 8, the filing claims that Robertson again returned to the petitioner’s residence when the petitioner was not there. Robertson allegedly waited at the door. When he found the petitioner in their car, the petitioner tried to put the vehicle in reverse to drive away. He allegedly grabbed the vehicle, said he needed help, and “said he had drugs on him and he saw cops and his phone was 1% and he had no way to get home.” The petition claims Robertson returned to the petitioner’s home later in the night, knocked on the door, and circled the residence “all night long, finally leaving around 8 am or so.”
The next day, on September 9, the petitioner claims Robertson called “a total of 25 times” and came to the petitioner’s residence when no one was home. Robertson allegedly returned again early the next morning at 2:01 a.m. The petition states Robertson proceeded to knock on the door “[a]ll night long” again, and “called my phone from a blocked number, called me on x (FKA twitter), made incoherent sounds, circled my apartment building.”
The X account with the handle “@KeanuCarverWWE,” which appears to have previously been controlled by Robertson, has been deactivated. An Instagram account with the same handle that he apparently used has also been deactivated.
The filing goes on: “I took video from inside my apartment of him making growling noises outside, and then knocking. I did not answer the door and I pretended I wasn’t home. I then called a mutual friend asking him to come get Kevin from my front door where he was passed out. Several neighbors saw him sleeping outside my door, and one tenant sent a photo and email to the rental office showing him outside my door because she was afraid.”
Around this time, the petitioner set up a security camera at the door of the home, according to the filing. On September 13, the petitioner alleges Robertson showed up again at the petitioner’s home after being told he wasn’t welcome. Robertson allegedly rang the doorbell multiple times. This led to the petitioner making a 911 call. Robertson, at that time, is said to have threatened to harm himself. He left before police arrived, according to the petition, but proceeded to call the petitioner another 44 times over the next two hours.
The protection order requires Robertson to stay at least 500 feet away from the petitioner. WWE did not respond to a question about whether the order prevents Robertson from being present at the WWE Performance Center, where NXT television is taped and wrestlers train.
