Tonight on this spooky Fright Night edition of AEW Dynamite, the TBS Championship is on the line as Persephone defends her title against Queen Aminata in the main event.
Aminata earned her opportunity last week by defeating Maya World and is confident she’s taking that title away from her. Persephone and Britt Baker feel like they don’t have to worry, as her “Dos Straps” are proof enough.
But first, Marina Shafir is in action tonight against Rachel Armstrong. Unfortunately for Armstrong, she gets thrown around and fed some Mother’s Milk for her pleasure.
Shafir calls out the AEW Women’s World Champion, Mercedes Moné, and tells her to come out and not be a “pussy.” Big D Moné says she’s got more balls than all The Death Riders and slaps the taste out of Shafir’s mouth. Shafir asks for more and tries to go for the knockout shot. Chaos ensues as Jon Moxley gets attacked, and Moné runs for the hills.
Our main event commences, and Aminata is ready to ride off her momentum and aim for the spotlight, per Renee Paquette.
The two lockup and Aminata givess away some chocolate kisses early this Halloween weekend. Baker as Ms. Trunchbull from “Matilda,” distracts Aminata for Persephone to take advantage.
Aminata finds her comeback by landing a twisting neckbreaker on Persephone, followed by a diving foot stomp, only for a two-count. Persephone hits a spear, and tries to remove Aminata’s taping from her neck. She hits a German suplex and Aminata survives it despite landing hard on the exposed area.
Persephone hits a lionsault, but Aminata gets her knees up as Persephone retreats. Aminata seats Persephone on the steel chair, and hits her signature dropkick from the apron. The referee checks on Persephone, and Baker hits Aminata in the skull with the TBS title.
The moonsault from Persephone connects, but Aminata miraculously kicks out. Aminata hits Persephone with a hard headbutt, and takes off Persephone’s head to become the new TBS Champion. The rest of the AEW women’s locker room comes out to celebrate her first title win in AEW.
