Ange Postecoglou is the early 5/2 favourite with William Hill to replace Steve Clarke as the next Scotland manager.

Clarke stood down from his post following Scotland’s group-stage exit from this summer’s tournament, with ex-Celtic and Tottenham boss Postecoglou installed as the frontrunner to take on the vacancy.

Scottish coach David Moyes, currently with Everton, and his fellow countryman and Millwall manager Alex Neil are both priced as 5/1 second favourites.

It will be interesting to see if Scotland go for a native manager or if they look further afield for the next leader of the national team. One thing is for sure – William Hill News will have you covered.

    • Ange Postecoglou – 5/2
    • David Moyes – 5/1
    • Alex Neil – 5/1
    • Martin O’Neill – 7/1
    • Kasper Hjulmand – 7/1
    • Bar – 9/1

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “With Steve Clarke stepping down after seven years as Scotland boss, we make Ange Postecoglou the early 5/2 favourite to replace Clarke.

“Postecoglou won five trophies during his two years at Celtic, and has international experience with his native Australia, managing the Socceroos in Brazil in 2014.

“Behind Postecoglou in the market are Scottish pair David Moyes and Alex Neil (both 5/1) with Martin O’Neill and Kasper Hjulmand (both 7/1) rounding out the leading candidates.”
