MJF is out, and Andrade El Idolo is in. Andrade is now set to make his Beyond Wrestling debut on June 5 at Break The Walls Down in Cranston, Rhode Island. He will face Bobby Orlando in the spot originally meant for MJF.

MJF was pulled from the show after suffering a hyperextended knee during his match against RUSH on the June 3 episode of AEW Dynamite. Beyond Wrestling announced that MJF was not cleared to travel or compete. The injury is legitimate, but the hope is that it is not serious. Still, it was enough to knock MJF off the Beyond Wrestling card.

Justin Barrasso of Undisputed first revealed Andrade as MJF’s replacement. Beyond founder Drew Cordeiro said the promotion had to move fast after losing its AEW World Champion.

“I’ve spent the last 20 hours calling everyone I know, and I can’t thank the wrestlers at AEW enough for going above and beyond and checking virtually everyone’s availability to make this happen on such short notice.”

Cordeiro also revealed that Andrade wasn’t the only name added to the lineup. He also thanked TNA for helping Bear Bronson make the show.

“We’ve added Andrade, Lio Rush, and Wheeler YUTA to the lineup just within the past few hours.”

“It’s also really cool of TNA management to allow Bear Bronson to change his travel for their tapings in Colorado this weekend so he can be with us tomorrow night.”

“My heart swells with pride that so many people within the wrestling industry care about Beyond Wrestling and our fans.”

MJF missing the show is a tough break, especially after his big AEW title defense against RUSH. Still, Beyond Wrestling landed a major replacement with Andrade, and now Bobby Orlando has a brand-new opponent for June 5.

Andrade stepping in gives fans a fresh match after MJF’s injury changed the card. Now the question is how Andrade’s Beyond Wrestling debut will go, and how long MJF’s knee keeps him out of action.
